My guest, Lucy Riles is a mom to 3 kids. She is a wife to 1 husband. And is the youngest of 12 kids. She has breastfed and bottle, co-slept and sleep trained. She’s fed her kids organic food and also frequents In & Out burger on a weekly basis. She is a huge fan of letting kids play freely outside but has also been known to hover like Marine One. She is practically imperfect in every way.
Lucy believes that moms need way more support and far less judgement. Life can be SO hard and we are all doing the best we can on this ride called motherhood. Her virtual village, ‘Life of Mom’ is designed to celebrate all moms because let’s face it… Moms rock!
In this episode we talk about:
- how social media and viral parenting articles can be intimidating and sometimes fear inducing and why she was inspired to create a safe, virtual community for moms, one that she describes as “a virtual hug”
- she talks about the challenges of her first pregnancy with a scary diagnosis at 20 weeks pregnant and how that has shaped her as a mom
- why she is such an advocate for moms feeling supported and supporting each other in a judgement-free zone
- and how she’s building upon her brand Life of Mom
