In this “Rev” episode, I’m doing something a little different and decided to share with you all an excerpt from one of my favorite books, which just so happens to be a classic. In Gift From The Sea, Anne Morrow Lindbergh writes an essay-style work by taking shells on the beach for inspiration and reflecting on the lives of Americans, particularly American women, in the mid-20th century. She shares her meditations on youth and age, love and marriage, peace, solitude, and contentment during her visit.
This specific excerpt that I share and reflect on resonated so closely with me and my inspiration to start Engine Mom, I felt compelled to share.
