In this “Rev” episode, I’m talking about a recent surge that I’ve noticed of Mom-bashing or women-bashing on social media. I understand that this is public forum and everyone is entitled to their opinions, but how come it has to be with hostility and judgement? It seems as though social media has made it Ok to walk away from civilized conversation and to really dig the trenches between two sides even deeper. In many ways, social media can offer a space to feel supported – support in your opinions, but it can also be a space where if your opinion differs from the masses, you can easily be ‘torn apart’ so to speak by the people that you might call ‘friends’ or acquaintances. Something I have been working on lately is abandoning judgements and practicing more empathy. Listen in to hear more.
I’m excited to announce that I will be launching my second Mastermind program in September, Engine Mom: Behind The Wheel. This is a 6-week accountability program to help you get organized, get motivated and get closer to your goals through the support of other driven Moms. In the 6-weeks, we will focus on setting SMART goals: specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-based.
- 1 specific goal for short-term
- 2x long term goals 6 months & 1 year
